Fire Monkey Panic
Fire Monkey Panic is a very simple speed-run platformer created for Game Level Design (GAME 132) at Johnson County Community College. This project allowed me to experiment with different methods of platform movement and timing and scoring with checkpoints along a path. What I really had fun doing, though, was trying out new ways to use emissive and reflective materials. Being careful, and taking your time, the either course should take you approximately two to three minutes. How fast can you go? What risks will you take for a quick time?
Due to the complexity of some of the lighting, the browser-playable version is not as richly detailed as the downloadable version. Download and enjoy the Windows-playable game if you wish to experience higher resolution lighting and textures. The gameplay between both platforms is the same.
