Now With TWO Levels!

Upon reading the assignment requirements more carefully, I realized that I needed two 3D platforming levels, not just one.  Well, it gave me the opportunity to tweak some of the lighting in the game and add in a small puzzle-esque element into the new 1st level.  Best times for each level are recorded separately so you can see and share you times on each.

Level 1:

To unlock the 2nd Level (the original one I designed) you will need to complete the first level in under 3:00.  It's a low bar and should be doable.  I'm not good at platformers and I was able to complete Level 1 in a little over a minute.  I'm sure someone good at speed-running would be able to break the one-minute barrier.  There is a dev cheat for unlocking Level 2 that I left in the game if you can find it.

Level 2:

The only thing I modified in Level 2 for this iteration was to add some additional rock decorations to sculpt the stationary platforms and ledges the way I wanted.  I also changed the behaviour of the elevators to only begin moving when the player steps on them.  The elevators also move slower and have a smaller ceiling trigger volume so a player is not as quickly or easily crushed.

Still To Do:

  • Add a unique "Best Time" riff.
  • Add a "How to Play" page.
  • Add a mute button on all levels.
  • Design some puzzle-solving elements for both levels.
