This is an early prototype of a set of simulations of various spectroscopic exercises targeted for use in an introductory Astronomy course.  Right now, the basic mechanics for determining temperature from modeled blackbody spectra, composition from modeling emission spectra, and radial velocity from galactic absorption/emission spectra are in place. 

Future goals include providing tutorial materials and videos, simulating absorption spectra, applications of Wein's Displacement Law, and modeling the shifting of a photon's wavelength from the Doppler Effect so that users/students can practice calculating radial velocity.

I will be evolving and expanding this tool in the coming months.  Please feel free to leave any comments you have on what I have built already, or what you'd like to see included in the future.  I welcome your input.
